Air d'Ecosse CD Launch
On Friday 30th June the Catstrand in New Galloway hosted the launch of Anne’s second solo CD – Airs d’Ecosse. As Anne explained to the packed auditorium, the CD has been ten years in the making and contains a collection of pieces all of which have a strong connection with Scotland. During the hour long recital Anne played a number of works from the CD ranging from the ancient Scottish tune Ane Ground to Eddie McGuire’s Folk Memories of Summer which was written for Anne. There were also works by European composers such as Guillini’s charming variations on Loch Lomond.
